WHAT’S IN A BOOK

By Fongstarr

This is kind of an overnight love sensation. Pardon the tattoo vets if I am a band wagon jumper but I’ll put it out there that Shige is the best tattoo artist that I’ve encountered thus far. It’s not so much the epitome of his style or the typical japanese subject matter, but the idea of what can actually be done to person’s skin to transform them into a walking piece of art. After hours upon hours of reading this thing for free at the Kinokuniya Bookstore, I forked over the $100 to get it. Below is just a taste of the +300 page book.

And whatever impelled me to buy this is beyond me. I am beginning to think streetwear magazines were better left uncreated…but RZA talking that Chinese opium talk is always a charm.
